Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever

Josh didn’t go into surgery until about 4:45ish. The doctor called me from the OR before Josh was even awake to let me know that everything had gone well. I’m working but his room is just down the hall from me so I’m checking on him every few minutes and so far he has not been in any pain. The surgeon that done his surgery, who was also the one to operated on me less than a month ago, is consulting with our oncologist tomorrow. They are probably going to be sending him to RMH just because the oncologist wants a thorough check of him, to more closely monitor him, and to keep him on IV antibiotics to prevent more infections. Right now we have to limit his visitors and any visitors he gets has to wear gown and gloves to prevent bringing any germs into Josh. I will update when I know more.
