Todays update

Josh didn’t go into surgery until about 4:45ish. The doctor called me from the OR before Josh was even awake to let me know that everything had gone well. I’m working but his room is just down the hall from me so I’m checking on him every few minutes and so far he has not …

We also scheduled appointments for the next two Bleomycin treatments, an appointment with Dr. Schertz, and set up his next chemo treatments. Dr. Schertz …

So round 2 of chemo is done, halfway through! Josh wasn’t able to keep any food down today so the doctor decided to keep him at the hospital until they get the nausea under control. So far he has added one more med for the nausea, Emend which is like the Zofran in terms of …

The nurse today who is my favorite got the doctor to give something stronger for the nausea and she told him how important it is to eat. He ate a few crackers and a few bites of hashbrown casserole! This post was posted on Tuesday July 1, 2008 at 12:40PM

Round 2 chemo

I know it’s been a while since I’ve updated. We came back to the hospital at 8am on Friday for the start of round 2 of chemotherapy. They didn’t start the chemo until almost 5pm. We were quite upset that we had to get there so early for nothing. Thankfully his mood changed when we …

Yesterdays surgery

Yesterday Josh had surgery to insert the port. We arrived at 10am for surgery that was scheduled for 11:15 but as usual they were running behind. He didn’t get taken back for surgery until 12:15.
