Yesterdays surgery

Pain is temporary, quitting lasts forever

Yesterday Josh had surgery to insert the port. We arrived at 10am for surgery that was scheduled for 11:15 but as usual they were running behind. He didn’t get taken back for surgery until 12:15. Surgery went well, no complications. We were able to leave around 2pm. Josh had been talking about a slurpee all day so I went and got him a coke slurpee and he ate the whole thing–I was really surprised. He has been really sore today which is to be expected. We will be going back into the hospital on Friday for 5 more days. I’m not sure what room we will be in but we will be on the 10th floor on the south wing, we are supposed to get there around 8:30 am.
